Kim Johansen International Transport, in collaboration with Øresunds Bridge and DSV, is participating in a pilot project to test electric trucks on long-distance routes. In the first half of 2026, two electric trucks will operate daily between Landskrona and Horsens (339 km) via Øresunds Bridge.
The project aims to evaluate charging infrastructure and cross-border freight, showing that zero-emission heavy transport is feasible over longer distances. It represents an important step towards more sustainable international logistics.
– “Testing electric trucks on such a long route is an exciting challenge. We hope to demonstrate that the technology works and that sustainable solutions are possible for international transport,” says Thomas Mouritzen, Sales Manager at Kim Johansen International Transport.
